What is gold filled?

Gold filled is made from solid gold that is pressure bonded with heat and filled with a base metal such as brass. Gold filled offers the same look and all of the same properties of solid gold such as beauty, durability, strength and longevity. Containing 100% more gold than gold plating, gold fill will not chip or tarnish, making it a quality alternative to solid gold at a much more affordable price.

 

Does your jewelry contain nickel?

All of our jewelry is nickel-free.

 

Can I wear gold filled if I have sensitive skin?

Since gold filled jewelry is made with solid gold sheets, the base metal will not come in contact with your skin, allowing wearers (like myself) who are sensitive to certain metals wear gold filled jewelry without any reactions.

 

Current Processing Time

Orders are processed within 3-7 business days (Monday-Friday) from the time we receive them. Please keep in mind, orders placed after 1pm EST are processed the next following business day. Please expect longer production times during holidays and promotions.

 

Shipping + Handling

Packages are shipped First Class through USPS, which typically takes 2-5 business days after processing. Your tracking information will be sent via email confirmation as soon as your package is shipped. Upgraded shipping (USPS Priority) is also available at checkout.

On extremely rare occasions, the packages can become lost in transit. Please note that Redefined Jewelry cannot reimburse orders that were misdelivered by the post office or stolen from a property.

Here are some tips, in case your package says delivered but you can't find it:

- USPS delivery vans have GPS that sometimes automatically updates a shipment as "delivered" prematurely. Please wait another business day because the package was most likely marked as delivered accidentally, and will arrive the following day.

- Contact your local post office. Make sure to call your local office, and not the USPS hotline (this can take a lot of time, and they only tell you what the tracking already says.) Ask them who delivered the parcel, and ask them details about that day's delivery. They are used to these types of questions, and can usually provide helpful information.

- If the parcel does not show up, please call the Post Office and file a claim. 

 

International Shipping

For now, we only ship to a few international countries but we are working on adding more. Please note, Redefined Jewelry is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your local customs office for any rules and regulations that may apply to you.

 

Jewelry Care

To maintain your jewelry’s life, please keep away from salt water, chlorine, sweat or any chemicals in beauty products such as hairspray, perfume, soaps, oils, lotions, etc. To clean your jewelry, gently rub your jewelry with a soft microfiber or lens cloth. You may also use a polishing cloth for a deeper clean when needed. Do not over polish as this can harm your jewelry. To avoid oxidation of sterling silver jewelry, wear frequently. When not wearing, please keep them in an airtight bag or box.

You can occasionally give your jewelry a deep clean by soaking your jewelry in mild dishwashing soap and warm water, and gently scrubbing with your fingertips or using a soft toothbrush.

Return Policy

Our jewelry pieces are handmade to order, made specially for you, therefore we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

 

Can I cancel an order?

In order to get your orders out to you as quickly as possible, the orders are sent to production right away. Please contact us immediately if you would like to cancel your order. However, once your item is in production, we cannot cancel your order. Thanks so much for understanding!

 

Repairs

We get it, things happen. If your jewelry chain breaks within the first 14 days, we are happy to repair your item at no extra cost. Please contact us right away. If your jewelry piece was purchased more than 2 weeks ago, please note that a small repair fee will apply. Customers are responsible for the return shipping costs.

 

Handmade / Handcrafted

Almost all of our pieces are entirely handmade. Hand cut, drilled, filed, and polished for a beautiful finish by one of our lovely suppliers here in the U.S. Due to their handcrafted nature, please allow slight variations. This is normal in handmade goods as no two pieces are exactly the same. Every piece is hand-stamped, letter by letter and therefore is unique to you. Please remember to handle your delicate jewelry with care.

If you would like to change your chain length, please contact us. Fees will apply.

All Redefined Jewelry pieces are handcrafted with the highest quality 14K Gold Fill, 14K Gold, and .925 Sterling Silver.

 

Sustainability

Our packaging and shipping boxes are made from 100% eco-friendly recycled materials. We also recycle all of our scrap metals and the plant based sleeves we send your jewelry in are certified compostable!

Sales Tax

We are based in New Jersey so therefore any orders shipped to addresses in NJ will be charged a sales tax of 6.625%.
